President: Shoheb Islam

Hey there! My name is Shoheb and I am in my 3B term of Management Engineering. I’m thrilled to continue my journey with the Waterloo chapter of IISE, moving from Program Manager to President. Being part of this team has been an incredible experience, and I’m excited to now help guide our chapter’s growth and strengthen our role within the engineering community.

As President, my goal is to build on the momentum we’ve created, from organizing impactful events and professional development opportunities to expanding our partnerships and industry connections. I’m especially looking forward to leading our delegation at the upcoming IISE Conference and ensuring that our chapter continues to be a lasting resource for students to develop their skills, networks, and leadership.

Vice President: Keneisha Baid

Hi! My name is Keneisha and I am in the 3B term of management engineering. I am so excited to be a part of the Waterloo chapter of the IISE. I initially joined as the sponsorship lead, and I am very excited to take on a new role! I enjoyed working with everyone in the club, and I am very excited to keep growing our chapter! I’m really excited to attend the upcoming conference!

Director of Marketing: Joey Oh 

Hello everyone! My name is Joey, and I’m currently in my 2B term of Management Engineering. I am looking forward to being a part of the University of Waterloo’s journey with the IISE as the Director of Marketing. I attended my first IISE Conference in Québec City in January 2025 and had an amazing experience meeting students from other schools, exploring the city, and competing in competitions. I’m excited to be working with the team to plan for the upcoming conference to help others have the same incredible experience!

Director of Operations: Danny Liang

Hi, I’m Danny and I am the Director of Operations. I just completed my 2A term of Management Engineering and I am really excited to be a part of such an amazing team. Being a part of the IISE allows me to work alongside likeminded engineers to build the chapter while creating new opportunities. I am excited to continue expanding and preparing for the next conference.

Director of Sponsorship: Aleesha Katary

Hello! My name is Aleesha and I’m in my 2B term of Management Engineering. I’m the current Director of Sponsorships and enjoyed helping with sponsorship aspects of sending the University of Waterloo team to 2025 IISE Conference. I’m really looking forward to continuing to work as a part of UW’s IISE Chapter, and to bring the next team of students to the IISE Conference next year!
