Hey, I’m Dhruv Sharma! I’m thrilled to step into the role of Chapter President! I recently completed my 2B term in Management Engineering, and this will be my first full year with IISE as we look to revive the club. I joined because I wanted to deepen my involvement in the engineering community at UW and take advantage of the opportunities available for students to enhance their leadership abilities. My goal for this term is to revitalize the club and attend the IISE Conference in Montreal! I’m excited to collaborate with the IISE team to expand our chapter into a lasting resource for students to develop their academic, professional, and social skills.

Co-President: Agishan Thaya

Hi! My name’s Agishan, and I’m excited to restart Waterloo’s IISE Chapter as Chapter President this year! I’ve just completed my 2B term and am looking forward to all the great events this year, especially our first conference after three years in Montreal. My goal for IISE is to create a space where Management Engineering students can receive mentorship and advice from upper years while also gaining exposure to and preparing for the industry!

Finance Director: Kirti Bansal

Hi! My name is Kirti and I am the Finance Director of IISE! I just completed my 2B term and really excited to help kick off IISE after the pandemic. I wanted to be part of this team to expand the opportunities available within industrial engineering and give Waterloo students the chance to showcase their knowledge and learn with other IISE chapters across Canada! I am really excited for our conference in Montreal this year and I look forward to continue expanding our chapter!

Program Manager: Shoheb Islam

Hey there, my name is Shoheb and I’m in my 2A term of Management Engineering. I’m excited to be part of the Waterloo chapter of IISE as Program Manager. In this role, my focus is on coordinating projects and ensuring that our initiatives create lasting value for students. That means building clear roadmaps for events, aligning our team’s efforts, and making sure execution runs smoothly from planning to delivery. Beyond supporting the upcoming IISE Conference in Montréal, I’m eager to expand our chapter’s impact through workshops, professional development events, and partnerships that connect students with industry. I’m especially interested in shaping programs that help Management Engineering students strengthen both technical and leadership skills, while also growing IISE into a long-term resource for the community.

Operations Director: Alvaro Pranenda

Hi, I’m Alvaro, and I’ll be joining UWaterloo IISE as an Operations Director. This is my first term in the role and I’m excited to join the chapter! As an Operations Director, my goal is to organize events that successfully increase the awareness of Management Engineering, and provide students with the opportunity to grow professionally, academically and socially. I hope to assist the team and foster an amazing experience for the upcoming IISE conference in Montreal!
